Opera Workshop to present scenes from eighteenth century operas

Peoria, IL (March 23, 2012) - The Bradley University Opera Workshop will present an evening of opera scenes on Friday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Ave.

Scenes from Mozart’s operas Le nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, and The Magic Flute, in addition to scenes from Domenico Cimarosa’s opera Il matrimonio segreto (The Secret Marriage) will be performed.

Bradley voice students Katie Burnham, Rebecca Crank, Amanda Leo, Chelsea Matthews, Kimberley Rowell, Laura Saunders, Gregory Schamburger, Ashlie Schlatweiler, Mary Rose Williams, and Rachel Wuebben will perform along with baritone Joseph Crumine. Dr. Kerry Walters, associate professor of music, will serve as the musical and stage director. Molly Sloter will provide piano accompaniment.
