Opera Workshop Presents “Broadway Lights”

The Bradley University Opera Workshop class will present scenes from favorite musical theatre productions in a performance titled “Broadway Lights” on Friday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Admission is $5 for adults and free for students. Tickets will be available at the door.

Included on the program will be scenes from “West Side Story,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Carousel,” “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” “Gypsy,” “Company,” “Little Women” and more.  Lee Wenger will join the cast in a special guest star role as Tevye in scenes from “Fiddler on the Roof.”  Mr. Wenger will be seen in the upcoming production of the complete Fiddler at Peoria Players in May.

Bradley voice students Lidia Bosma, Beth Brooks, Katie Burnham, Andrew Corbin, Rebecca Crank, Joseph Crumrine, Katherine Donnelly, Tracey Furling, Kelsey Hagan, Seth Johnson, Ashleigh Koch, Chelsea Matthews, Anna Pittenger, Amy Thomason, Mary Rose Williams, and Rachel Wuebben are all cast members.  Dr. Kerry Walters, associate professor of music, and Molly Sloter, professional staff member and pianist are musical and stage directors.  Mrs. Sloter will provide piano accompaniment.
