String Chamber Music Recital at Bradley

Peoria, IL (November 12, 2012) A string chamber music recital featuring student ensembles from the Department of Music at Bradley University will be presented on Saturday, December 1, at 3 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. The recital is free and open to the public.

The recital will feature string quartets and duos. Works being performed include Mendelssohn String Quartet No. 2, Op. 13, Shostakovich String Quartet No. 8, Op. 110, and Sergei Prokofiev Sonata for Two Violins, Op. 56.

Performing in the recital are violinists Jenna Ferdon, Julie Haring, Caleb Mackinder, Brianna Smith, and Jennifer Primm Vinsel, violists Alyssa Przygoda and Aimee Domaszewicz, and cellists Britney Whiting and Charles Spurgeon.

The chamber music ensembles are coached by Marcia Henry Liebenow, professor of violin, viola, and chamber music at Bradley and Concertmaster of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra.
