Campus Pitches in on Disaster Relief
November 19, 2013
As cleanup continues in Washington and surrounding areas, the Bradley University community is doing what it can to help with the disaster relief efforts.
We have launched a webpage and are continuing to add up-to-date information so the campus community can stay informed at bradley.edu/tornadorelief.
The University is collecting monetary donations at the Student Activities Office, 141 Sisson until noon Monday.
The University is holding a supply drive at the Markin Center through Monday (11/25). Items accepted are toiletries, bottled water, Gatorade and non-perishable food items.
Also this week, volunteers are making “comfort blankets” to donate to children who were affected by the tornadoes. Go to room 5 of the Student Center this week between 10a-3p if you would like to participate.
Students are organizing a fundraiser at the Fieldhouse in Campustown this Friday (11/22) from 6p - 9p. 10% of all sales will be donated.
Bradley’s Lewis J. Burger Center is collecting names of volunteers and once opportunities are available we will coordinate efforts to get volunteers to the affected areas to assist with clean up. Call 677-2428.
