Local Attorneys to Speak About Employment Law

Two local attorneys will discuss their pioneering work in employment law in a presentation on November 14 at Bradley University.

“Civil Rights and Employment Law” is the subject of the program to be given by Patricia Benassi, founding member of Benassi & Benassi, and her partner, Athena Herman, at 12:30 p.m. in room 116 in Westlake Hall on campus. They will describe and analyze several of their landmark civil rights cases, including Evans, et al. v. Mitsubishi Motors Manufacturing of America, a class action sexual harassment/ sex discrimination case that gained worldwide attention.

The presentation is part of Bradley's year-long observance of the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. It is sponsored by the Women’s Studies Program, Continuing Education, the Pre-Law Center, and the Intellectual & Cultural Activities Committee at Bradley.
