Symphonic Band and Symphonic Winds Will Give Concert

The Bradley Symphonic Band and the Bradley Symphonic Winds, led by Dr. David Vroman, will present a Music Scholarship Concert Series (MSCS) concert on Sunday, November 17, at 3 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue.  Admission is $5 for adults and free for students.  Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling 309-677-2650.

The 75-member Symphonic Band will perform Cajun Folk Songs by Frank Ticheli, Sleep by Eric Whitacre and Arabian Dances by Brian Balmages. The Symphonic Winds will performFanfare Hayabusa by Satoshi Yagisawa, Armenian Dances by Alfred Reed and Hymn to a Blue Hour by John Mackey and more.

Dr. David Vroman is the Director of Band Activities and the Chairperson for the Department of Music at Bradley University.  In this capacity he conducts the Symphonic Winds, Symphonic Band, and Basketball Band.

Proceeds from MSCS performances support scholarships for Bradley music students.
