Classical guitarist to perform

Classical guitarist Michael Hull will present a recital of works from the Renaissance to the Modern Era on Sunday, April 6, at 3 p.m. in the Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Admission is free and open to the public.
Featured compositions will include the elegant First Suite for Unaccompanied Cello by J.S. Bach, two of Heitor Villa-Lobos' virtuosic Douze Etudes and two of Mr. Hull's original pieces. One of the compositions, titled City Dweller, was premiered at the University of Baltimore last September. The other is titled Waiting and will have its premiere during this concert.
Hull is an applied music instructor and Director of the Guitar Ensemble at Bradley University. He also teaches at Illinois Central College and Heartland Community College. He served twice as director of the prestigious Mid-America Guitar Ensemble Festival. He is an active recitalist, giving regular concerts and public performances.
