Approximately 25 Bradley students visited Seven Circles Heritage Center in Edwards, Ill, on September 7, to help clean up and prepare the grounds and building for the annual Veterans Powwow on September 20 to 22.
Students spent the morning enhancing the landscaping by moving mulch and weeding in preparation for seeding.
The PowWow, an annual event, is intended for the healing and honoring of all veterans. The veterans, including honor guards from a number of service branches, received special recognition on Friday evening with a reading of MIA and POW names. During the PowWow, the veterans are the first to enter the arena to dance.
