Program Specifics

Time Frame: 15-months

One of the shortest in the education industry, our 15-month program is designed without a summer recess to help you keep a momentum of learning as you quickly build knowledge and skills. Classes are held from 8 am to 5pm every other Friday and Saturday. The program begins with a week-long residency, called the Leadership Challenge, and includes an 11-day international trip. The trip (excluding airfare and most meals) is included in the program cost, as well as all textbooks, meals, lodging, parking, and special social events.

Typical Attendee

Participants are working professionals with an undergraduate degree and employer sponsorship from their employer. On average, participants have 10 years management experience and currently work as business managers or owners, entrepreneurs, CEO’s, CFO’s, presidents, vice presidents, directors, or in other equivalent leadership positions. Average age of participants is 40 years. View our class profile for more details.

Learning Environment

A class size ranging from 18 to 25 students assures diversity and engenders close coaching and mentoring by faculty members. Participants bring their knowledge from diverse business backgrounds such as health care, engineering, agriculture, education, law, insurance, government, social service, and others. Each EMBA class matriculates through the program as a group, or cohort. Within that cohort, smaller study groups of 5 to 6 participants are formed for group project work and team building skills. Connections developed between study groups create informal networking opportunities and, in many cases, lasting friendships.

The curriculum prepares you for mastery of 4 Key Competencies: Leadership, Global Citizenry, Critical Thinking, and Strategic Positioning. Courses are structured around business issues rather than traditional business school disciplines. The program integrates finance, marketing, operations, and management skill sets to encourage a broader, more strategic perspective of current business issues. A strong focus on business ethics permeates all coursework within the program.
