Winter Registration Open House
Registration for OLLI’s Winter 2017 programs opens Wednesday, November 2. If you are currently on our mailing list, you should receive a brochure via USPS this week. Please take time to review our offerings, then choose YOUR way to register:
Wednesday, November 2, 9 – 11 a.m.: Attend the OLLI Registration Open House in the Michel Student Center Ballrooms. Free shuttle service will provided from Westminster Presbyterian Church starting at 8:15 a.m. During the open house, you’ll have the chance to interact one-on-one with staff, enjoy snacks and refreshments, and spend time with your friends (or meet some new ones). Registration forms received at the Open House will be processed first.
We highly encourage you NOT to arrive before 8:30 a.m. Doors will open and numbers for the queue will be handed out at 8:40 a.m. Between 8:40 – 9:00 a.m., you will have time to enjoy refreshments, sit and socialize with other members, and complete your registration materials. Shortly after staff announcements at 9:00 a.m., registrations will be accepted in numerical order. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet Diane Venzera, Assistant Director of Adult Learning at the National Resource Center for Osher Lifelong Learning Learning Institutes. Diane will be in town to visit our learning community and start preparations for the 2017 OLLI National Conference.
Thursday, November 3, 9:00 a.m.: Online, mail, and telephone registration opens:
Online – visit OLLI’s webpage, Bradley.edu/olli, to make your selections. You can access your Winter 2017 account using the same email (and password, if you’d like) as your Fall account. If you’ve never used the system, please create an account as shown on the first page of the online system. To avoid errors, we recommend using one of the following web browsers for your online registration: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari (for Mac users). On registration day, the high volume of participants on the site may cause pages to load slowly. We appreciate your patience as the system processes your information.
Mail – you may mail your form at any time; forms will be queued in the order received and processed on November 3.
Telephone – if you would like to speak with a staff members about your registration on November 3, please call (309) 677-3900.
Mark your calendars for the Fall Class wrap-up session, which will take place at the beginning of the Fall Class Curriculum planning session on November 9. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Michel Student Center Executive Suite. Parking will be available in the Visitor’s Lot and on side streets surrounding campus. We encourage everyone to attend this meeting to provide valuable feedback on past classes and to help plan our next season of courses. For more information, please visit the OLLI Registration Desk.
Trivia Night Fundraiser - Thank You!
Thank you to everyone who participated in OLLI's Second Annual Trivia Night Fundraiser! We had a swell time "at the hop," testing our trivia knowledge, enjoying good company and food, winning fabulous raffle prizes, and even hula hooping!
The event was a huge success, raising over $8,000 -- nearly triple the funds from last year's inaugural trivia event! We feel very fortunate to receive such overwhelming support from our members, an anonymous matching donor, and our sponsors.
For their generous contributions to the event, we would like to thank our signature sponsor, Cypress Asset Management, and our supporting sponsors, Health Alliance Medicare, Heartis Senior Living Village, Heddington Oaks, and Thrivent Financial.
We also appreciate the prize donations from the following: Bradley University Athletics, Bradley University Alumni Association, Bogie's Bar and Grill, Childers Eatery, Denhart Baking Company, Holland's Caramel Corn, J. Draper Glass, J.K. Williams Distillery, Java Jolt, Kelleher's Irish Pub and Eatery, Kickapoo Creek Winery, Landmark Theaters, Mackinaw Valley Vineyard, Obed & Isaac Brewery, Peoria Riverfront Museum, The Spotted Cow, Thyme Restaurant, Toraason Glass, The '50s Diner, and The Fieldhouse.
