Building Excellent Scientists for Tomorrow (BEST) and CREST (Clinical Research for Excellent Scientists for Tomorrow) are summer programs developed by Bradley University’s Center for Stem Education and designed for high school students interested in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Participants are placed in research labs in the Peoria area to gain research experience, working side-by-side with top researchers and their teams to learn first-hand about the research process. Students also receive training in science methods, scientific ethics, safety, and related topics. Students involved in the BEST program work 150 - 300 hours in labs; CREST participants work 200 - 300 hours in area labs. BEST is designed for high school and undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in science and technology-based areas.
