Ji Young Kim (Ph.D. University of Florida) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication at Bradley University. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Mass Communications from Sogang University in Korea, a M.S. in New Media from Syracuse University, and a Ph.D. in Mass Communications from the University of Florida. Her primary research interests fall under public relations and strategic communications in both international and national contexts.

Dr. Kim has presented several research papers at major national and international research conferences in the field, and some of the work won best research awards at the Association for Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC, 2009), the International Communication Association (ICA, 2010 & 2011), and the International Public Relations Research Conference (IPRRC, 2011). She has had articles published in several journals including, Public Relations Review and Public Relations Journal, and one of her recent articles will be published in Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly.

Dr. Kim’s teaching areas include Public Relations Research, Public Relations Campaigns, and International Public Relations. She has professional experience as a graduate intern at the International Organization for Migration in Switzerland, a daily newspaper, and a communication consultancy firm in Korea.
