Communication Graduate Wins Prestigious Gold Effie Award

Department of Communication alumnus Quan Phung Martin was recently awarded a Gold Effie in the "Good Works" category for an advertising campaign she developed on behalf of client Ford Motor Company called "Drive One 4 UR School." This program took the test drive out of the showroom and brought it into the dealership in a meaningful way. The result was over 40,000 test drives across America, a significant lift in consumers' perceptions of Ford, and the highest buy-rate of any Ford, or Lincoln Mercury test-drive program.
Quan has worked for advertising agency J. Walter Thompson Team Detroit, Inc. since 2001. She is currently Vice President Management Supervisor for JWT TDI and is responsible for creating meaningful and relevant brand connections allowing consumers to discover and experience the Ford brand in non-traditional ways.
