Timothy Archbold, an Australian cellist and chamber musician is a gifted teacher and chamber music coach. After many years of teaching, he has developed a direct and uncomplicated approach to teaching cello technique. Using his experience in Alexander Technique and Feldenkries, he works to help his student play in a comfortable and relaxed manner. Timothy receieved his undergraduate degree in Music from University of Melbourne. He studied chamber music and cello performance in Germany for five years and recieved a post graduate degree. He then went on to receive his masters degree in music from Wichita State University where he played with the Graduate String Quartet and in the Wichita Symphony. He is currently free-lancing and teaching in the Chicago Area. He is the associate principal of the Peoria Symphony and the Northwest Indiana Symphony and is a chamber coach with Elgin Youth Symphony. He has played with the Wichita Symphony, Oldenburg City Symphony (Germany), Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Rockford Symphony, South Bend Symphony, New Millennium, and Beethoven Festival Orchestra.
