Students have numerous opportunities at Bradley to engage in psychology-related social and academic events through participation in Psychology Club and Psi Chi. Activities sponsored by our student groups include movie nights, study groups, career advising, and fund raising for charities. Weekly activities provide an excellent opportunity to meet fellow psychology majors and faculty, gain leadership skills, and optimize your experience within the Bradley University Department of Psychology.
Psi Chi is the honor society for Psychology undergraduates and our chapter is one of the best in the nation, recently earning the prestigious Ruth Hubbard Cousins National Chapter Award as the chapter that best achieves Psi Chi’s purpose to encourage excellence in scholarship in psychology. In addition, out of more than 1,100 international chapters of Psi Chi, the Bradley University chapter is one of only three to receive the Model Chapter Award in each of the past seven years. Bradley students and faculty received more than $15,000 in 2015 as recipients of Psi Chi grants and awards, and Bradley was one of only three schools to have multiple research projects recognized with Psi Chi Regional Research Awards (conferred upon fewer than 5% of all submissions). The chapter is currently jointly advised by Dr. Amy Bacon and Dr. Lane Beckes.
