Dr. Laurence G. Weinzimmer
Author, consultant and award-winning researcher, Laurence G. Weinzimmer is internationally recognized for his expertise in strategic planning. He works with numerous Fortune 500 companies, including General Motors Corp., Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., 3M, Caterpillar Inc., Pennzoil Co., Ashland Chemical, Timken Steel, Coors Brewing Co. and many medium-sized companies on issues relating to strategy, assessment and growth. Dr. Weinzimmer has published three books and over 60 articles, has served as a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Management, and as the Associate Editor for the Journal of Small Business Strategy.
Dr. Weinzimmer teaches the capstone strategic planning course to undergraduates, MBAs and EMBAs, and regularly addresses audiences across the nation and abroad. He has received the Putnam Award and the Rothberg Award, as well as numerous national research awards. In summer 2011, Dr. Weinzimmer was an invited lecturer at the University of Chicago.
