The Degree
Bradley’s marketing degree involves a flexible program that can be tailored to a variety of professional opportunities. Students also have the opportunity to concentrate in Professional Selling, a program which very few schools offer. After graduation, Bradley marketing students excel in an array of careers, including:

  • advertising
  • research
  • retail
  • industrial marketing

This degree is administered through the Foster College of Business and Administration. Bradley's Foster College of Business Administration has earned accreditation by the AACSB International: The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB accreditation assures that the school is committed to continued improvement and quality in all areas of business.

Curriculum
Bradley's Marketing majors gain real-world experience in the classroom, giving them a competitive edge when seeking employment. Working in teams, marketing students serve as consultants to real business clients. Students in the program develop essential skills for the field, such as:

  • conducting marketing research studies
  • designing advertising plans
  • designing business and marketing plans
  • selling real products

Every marketing student is guaranteed at least two of these types of experiences before graduation.

Bradley’s Department of Marketing faculty members are also closely engaged with the Greater Peoria business community, and regional and national associations. Students in Bradley’s marketing program are exposed to a wide variety of faculty expertise. Some of the research interests of Bradley’s marketing faculty include:

  • customer satisfaction
  • consumer behavior
  • pricing
  • promotion
  • supply chain management
  • retail
  • marketing in the development and deployment of marketing strategy

Through independent studies and the Advanced Marketing Research class, students have opportunities to co-author, publish, and present papers at national conventions and in marketing journals.

Opportunities at Bradley
Each year, the top two professional selling students represent Bradley at the National Collegiate Sales Competition held in Atlanta, Georgia. Students in the Marketing major have accompanied faculty to professional meetings to present papers, joined Bradley’s chapter of the American Marketing Association, and pursued cooperative education positions with organizations ranging from advertising agencies, sports teams, consulting firms and retail companies.

Beyond Bradley
A marketing education from Bradley prepares students for a wide variety of careers. Every year, over 90 percent of Bradley marketing majors are placed in career-related jobs within six months of graduation. Almost all Bradley marketing graduates report a very high degree of satisfaction with their Bradley education and with their career development. Recent employers include:
