The Degree
Management and Administration at Bradley is an extremely flexible major that can be tailored to meet the interests of the student. Students majoring in Management and Administration can choose from a broad array of courses to satisfy their elective requirements, or they can concentrate within the major in Human Resource Management or Legal Studies in Business. The Business Management and Administration major provides a solid grounding in the skills and concepts necessary to meet the complex and challenging tasks of management. The program concentrates on developing the decision-making, problem identification, problem solving, and interpersonal skills essential for combining the organization’s resources to promote organizational effectiveness.

Bradley's Foster College of Business has earned accreditation by the AACSB – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business—International. AACSB accreditation assures that the school is committed to continued improvement and quality in the area of business management and administration.

Students in the Department of Business Management and Administration are exposed to a wide variety of faculty expertise. In addition to teaching, many instructors consult and are involved in local business development. This practical experience is brought into the classroom.

Opportunities at Bradley
Outside of the classroom, Bradley Management and Administration students enjoy many cocurricular and cooperative learning experiences including:

  • SAM, the Society for the Advancement of Management
  • Phi Chi Theta, a business and economics fraternity

Working in teams, management and administration students serve as consultants to real business clients. Students perform numerous activities for their clients, such as designing business plans or analyzing markets. These projects provide students with invaluable real world experiences of reasoning, problem solving, and decision-making, and improve students' communication skills.

Beyond Bradley
Students in this major are prepared for management positions in both industry and not-for-profit settings. Additionally, students are well prepared for graduate level business courses or public administration programs, law school, and other graduate school programs. Recent graduates have entered management or consulting positions and have demonstrated excellent preparation and advancement. National employers include:
