As the Interim Director of the Lewis J. Burger Center for Student Leadership and Public Service, Katie McGinn coordinates leadership development and volunteer opportunities for Bradley University students. She oversees the Leadership and Service Fellows program, LINCS, BUILD, FiSH!, and Team Bradley. Katie is also a co-advisor for the Leadership Studies Minor.
Katie graduated from Bradley University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Sociology. She worked for Sigma Kappa Sorority as a Leadership Consultant, traveling to over 20 different college campuses and providing educational programming, leadership development, and officer and advisor training from 2008-2009. Katie returned to Bradley as a Graduate Assistant for the Lewis J. Burger Center and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life in 2009 before becoming the Interim Director of the Lewis J. Burger Center. Katie is currently working on her Master’s degree in Leadership in Human Service Administration at Bradley University, which she plans to complete in May 2011.
Currently, Katie’s community volunteerism includes serving as Chair for the Youth United for Central Illinois (YUCI) committee through the Heart of Illinois United Way. Additionally, Katie serves as a member of the Heart of Illinois United Way Board of Directors. Katie is also a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority’s National Recruitment Team, serving as a District Recruitment Coordinator and working with 23 different college campuses.
