OLLI members are blogging…and so can you!

Not to be outdone by their children (or grandchildren), members of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) are using a web technology that keeps them connected—blogging!

If that’s a foreign word to you, you’re not alone.  Blogging is something many of us are trying for the first time.

In short, a blog is an online journal, and the term comes from the combined words of “web” and “log.”

OLLI members are blogging about the learning trips they take with Bradley University Continuing Education.  They can visit the OLLI blog, view photos taken on the trips, and even share their photos and comments about the trip.  It is a perfect use of blogging and an inspired way to build a community around a common event.

Michelle Riggio, program director in Continuing Education, created the blog.

“We have so much fun on these trips, and we learn so many interesting things, it just seemed like a great opportunity to share our pictures and comments,” said Riggio.

So blog along with the rest of us!  It’s easy.  It’s fun to do.  And it will probably impress your grandkids!
