Jazz Concert December 5

The Bradley Groove Project and Hilltop Combo, under the direction of Dr. Todd Kelly, will present a concert on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Dingeldine Music Center.

The Bradley Groove Project is an 18-member group dedicated to learning music by ear, one of the few bands in the country to do so. They will perform Pick up the Pieces, Centerpiece, Chameleon, and several other selections.

The Hilltop Combo is a 5-piece group comprised of the finest jazz musicians at Bradley. They will perform several jazz standards, including Song For My Father, Billie’s Bounce, and Summertime.

Dr. Todd Kelly is a Professor of Trumpet and Director of Jazz Ensembles at Bradley. He maintains a busy performing schedule with the Todd Kelly Quintet, Brazilionaires, the Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra, Four Other Brothers, and JC and the Redemption. Dr. Kelly is an artist/clinician for the Conn-Selmer company.
