Students Receive National Leadership Award

April 30, 2015

Bradley chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) receives the highest award from the national organization. The Bradley chapter has been awarded the Order Of Sigma for achieving all of the organizational 10 pillars.

NSLS spokesman Matt Sarlo praised the Bradley chapter. “Order of Sigma is reserved for our most accomplished chapters. As the highest honor in the Pillar Program, there are only a select number of chapters that are exceptionally organized, diligent, active and engaged who come close to achieving this award. In 2014-2015, only 9 of the 475 chapters across the country earned this status. Bradley University is one of the first to earn the award toward the 2015-2016 school year.”

The chapter already achieved the Founder's List Award for achieving eight of the 10 pillars but this is the first time Bradley's chapter has received the highest honor. Bradley Chapter President Samantha Pallini says this accomplishment is not an individual prize. "This is the national organization informing the executive board and the many members of our on-campus society that they are proud of what we are striving for, the values we are living out in our daily lives, and the goals we continue to set for ourselves and our society. We are humbled and honored to have received this recognition from our national organization."

The National Society of Leadership and Success is an organization that helps people discover and achieve their goals. The Society offers lectures from the nation's leading presenters and a community where like-minded, success-oriented individuals come together and help one another succeed. Palini says a big part of the Bradley experience is leadership. "NSLS gave us an opportunity to learn what that means and how it works in theory and in our lives. We are proud to be able to offer students further development of those skills in a motivational, positive society environment."

The Bradley Chapter was started in 2008 and has 868 active members. The Society currently has 463,344 members at 475 colleges nationwide.
