Today is the 8th Annual Word Autism Awareness Day. The Bradley Student Education Association (BSEA) and the Bradley Association for the Education of Young Children (BAEYC) are hosting their second annual "Light it Up Blue" event on campus as part of the worldwide “Light It Up Blue” campaign to kick off National Autism Awareness Month.

At dusk, Westlake Hall, like thousands of landmarks around the world, will be lit in blue in an effort to raise support for autism awareness. The event runs 5-8 p.m this evening outside of Westlake Hall.

The event will include informational booths to show what it is like to have Autism Spectrum Disorder and to provide information about the disorder, food will be available for $3 if you are wearing blue otherwise it is $5, and donations will be accepted. If you can't attend there is a GoFundMe site (http://www.gofundme.com/q3pnz4) set up to accept donations. All of the proceeds will go to Easter Seals and the Children's Home of Peoria.
