The Brave Pitch competition, open to all students and sponsored by the Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, wrapped up this week. Winning first place was Emma Heth, a freshman AEP student who pitched a service that provides “princess parties” for young girls in clients’ homes. She will launch the business this year in St. Louis. Brad Webster, a senior double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice Studies, won second place with his idea of a stylish magnetic button for the shoulder that holds a purse strap in place. Third place went to Sarah Wagner, a sophomore majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences-Dietetics. She pitched a tattoo-like film that attaches to teeth and acts as a breath freshener as it dissolves.
