Make Your Move Bradley Social Media Campaign

April 2, 2015

April is sexual assault awareness month and Bradley's Wellness Program has launched a social media campaign to help end sexual assault and violence on campus. It's called "Make Your Move Bradley".

Learn more about the campaign on social media by searching #makeyourmovebradley on Facebook (www.facebook.com/MYMBradley) or Twitter (@MYMBradley).

Some events planned for this Sexual Assault Awareness month include:

#makeyourmovebradley is proud to support "Take Back the Night" hosted by Bradley Panhellenic on Monday, April 6th at 6:45pm in Olin Quad. Come show your support for survivors of sexual assault and violence.

#makeyourmovebradley will be out on Olin Quad on Monday, April 6th and Tuesday, April 7th from 12-3pm. Tell us how you will end sexual assault and violence at Bradley by writing it on a dry erase board and taking a picture with it. We'll post the picture on social media, with your permission, so you can publicly show your support. We strongly encourage faculty and staff to participate, as it shows the entire Bradley community is committed to ending sexual violence.

#makeyourmovebradley is proud to support the Bradley's HEAT's "Can I Give You a Kiss?" event on Tuesday, April 14th and Wednesday, April 15th in the Student Center from 11am-2pm. The event promotes asking for consent for all sexual activity. Resources on sexual assault and violence will be available.

#makeyourmovebradley is proud to support "Shades of HERstory" on Friday, April 17th at 7pm in the Student Center Ballroom (doors open at 6:30). This diverse series of monologues seeks to empower not only women but everyone through our inspirational, thought provoking and hilarious performances.

#makeyourmovebradley is hosting a viewing of "The Hunting Ground" on Wednesday April 22nd at 6:30pm in Marty Theater. "The Hunting Ground" is an expose of sexual assault on US campuses. The Center for Prevention of Abuse will be leading a discussion after the viewing. This event is completely free and open to the public. Thank you to ACBU for making this event possible!

#makeyourmovebradley is hosting a Poetry Slam/Open Mic night in Lydia's Lounge on Thursday, April 23rd at 7pm. Come for some free food and entertainment - or to perform. Although the focus of the night will be sexual assault and violence, we welcome performances of all kinds.
