Peoria Lunaire Will Give Performance on April 4

Peoria Lunaire, the Bradley University faculty chamber ensemble, will give its spring performance on Monday, April 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center. Admission is free of charge.  

The ensemble, which debuted in November 2012 as a permanent faculty performance group, will present John Harbison’s “Chaconne” and works by student composers.

The Bradley faculty members of Peoria Lunaire are Marcia Henry Liebenow, violin; Sarah Hansen, cello; Lisette Kielson, flute; Stephen Heinemann, clarinet; and John Orfe, piano. Ms. Henry also will perform “Cadenza” from Svara Yantra by Shirish Korde, and Ms. Kielson and Dr. Orfe will present Fulvio Caldini’s Sonatina for recorder and piano.

Percussionists John Posth and Mateusz Koszarek will perform Nagoya Marimbas by Steve Reich, one of America’s preeminent composers. New works by Bradley composition students Mason Boore and Austin Lair will also be performed.
