Bradley and CityLink Partner up for Snapchat Contest

August 16, 2017

CityLink is once again partnering with the Smith Career Center at Bradley University for a contest on the social media platform Snapchat called “BU on the Bus” from August 19 until September 9.

Students are invited to participate in the contest by posting creative videos and/or pictures while taking a CityLink bus or at the downtown CityLink Transit Center (407 SW Adams St.) to their Snapchat story. Contest entries should be downloaded and emailed to Smith Career Center Graduate Assistant Hannah Ramlo at hramlo@mail.bradley.edu by September 9, 2017. Participants should include their name and student ID number with their entry. The top three most creative entries could win a Visa gift card for up to $50 or a Starbucks gift card.

CityLink routes that access Bradley University’s campus are the #1 University Route and the #5 Main Route. A limited amount of free CityLink Day Passes are now available for contest participants at the front desk at the Smith Career Center in Burgess Hall. If a student is unable to get a free Day Pass before they are gone, they may ride any CityLink bus for $0.50 per ride with their student ID card. Exact change is required. Day Passes and 30-Day Passes are also now available to purchase at the cashier window of the Controller’s Office in Swords Hall. Student discounts are available when passes are purchased through the Controller’s Office.

“We have decided to revisit the Snapchat contest we sponsored earlier this year for Bradley students. I am confident we will generate more interest this time because we are holding the contest at the beginning of the fall semester when students are fresh on campus and the weather is still nice,” said CityLink Director of Marketing Emily Watson. “Another exciting factor that I hope will increase participation is students now having the option to conveniently purchase bus passes at a discounted rate on campus,” continued Watson.
