9th Annual St. Baldrick’s Event is April 8

The men of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity will host the 9th annual St. Baldrick’s event on April 8 from 11:30 to 4:00 on the Bradley University campus.

Dozens of students have signed up to shave their heads to raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, one of the most popular childhood cancer charities. The foundation has grossed $154 million in donations in 15 years. On average the Pi Kappa Alpha St. Baldrick’s event raises about $20,000 a year thanks to the help of generous donors from the Peoria area.

Peoria mayor Jim Ardis will deliver opening remarks at 11:30 and head shaving will commence immediately after. There will be grilled burgers and hot dogs for purchase. All proceeds will go to St. Baldrick's.
