Bradley Symphony Orchestra Concert To Feature Concerto-Aria Winners

The Bradley Symphony Orchestra will present the three winners of the University’s annual concerto/aria competition in concert on Sunday, March 6, at 3 p.m. at the Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Tickets are $10 for adults, free for students and are available at the door.  

The winners are Evan Leong, clarinet, Seth Johnson, tenor, and Clara Capriotti, flute. Performances will include the first movement of Carl Maria von Weber’s Clarinet Concerto in F minor, Lalo’s “Vainement, ma bien aimée” from Le Roi d’Ys, “Comfort ye…” and “Ev’ry valley…” from Handel’s Messiah, and the final movement of Jacques Ibert’s Concerto for Flute and Orchestra. The program will conclude with Vasily Kallinikov’s Symphony No. 1 in G Minor.  

The BSO will be under under the direction of Dr. Timothy Semanik.  

The concert is part of the Music Scholarship Concert Series at Bradley.
