2017-18 FAFSA Filing-Earlier Recommended Deadline!
October 3, 2016
The 2017-2018 FAFSA is available as of October 1st 2016. If you have not yet done so, file your 2017-2018 FAFSA as soon as possible to receive full consideration for federal, State of Illinois, and Bradley financial assistance in the 2017-2018 academic year. Beginning with the 2017-2018 FAFSA, students will be required to report income from an earlier tax year. This allows families to complete the FAFSA using tax information that is already complete. For example, on the 2017-2018 FAFSA, you-and your parent(s), as appropriate-will report your 2015 income and tax information rather than your 2016 income and tax information.
As of May 2015 the FAFSA pin number has been replaced with an FSA ID. In order to avoid delays in processing your FAFSA, it is recommended that you and your parent (if a dependent student) begin creating an FSA ID now. For security reasons, you and your parent cannot use the same e-mail address when creating FSA ID's. For more information about the FSA ID, visit StudentAid.gov/fsaid.
