The Bradley Advantage

As an art education major, you have three routes to complete the degree. The bachelor of fine arts emphasizes studio experience, as you pick two media forms to master from ceramics, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. The bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees require a focus in one media form but less time in a second than the fine arts degree requires. All tracks include teacher education courses that prepare you to meet Illinois licensure requirements.

Successful Outcomes

Bradley’s art education program successfully prepares you to enter the workforce or graduate school. Education students boast a 100 percent pass rate on Illinois licensure tests and almost all find jobs or continue their education within six months of graduation. They’re working throughout Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, North Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin. Others are attending graduate schools at institutions such as the Art Institute of Chicago, Rhode Island School of Design and Ohio State University.
