The Bradley Advantage

The MSN in nursing administration develops your management skills through courses focused on leadership, administration and current issues in health care law and policy. It prepares you to take the National League for Nursing Certified Nurse Educator Exam. If you earned an undergraduate nursing education degree, you can meet Illinois requirements to teach nursing and pursue a doctorate. As an MSN student, you do two practicums in the Peoria metro area. Additionally, you complete a thesis, directed research project or capstone project. You have five years to complete the program, though full-time students typically finish within two years.

Successful Outcomes

With a MSN in nursing administration, you can assume leadership roles in any health care setting. Among other roles, you can be a nurse manager, health services manager or facility manager. You’re ready for hospitals, acute care and emergency settings, private medical practice, community health agencies and other settings. Recent graduates are working for companies such as suburban Chicago-based Nash Group and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
