The Bradley Advantage

As a Bradley public relations major, you learn how strategic communication and planning can strengthen your organization’s brand through careful maintenance of key relationships. Courses show you how special events, social media, news media and other tools foster those relationships. You and a team of classmates also design and implement a PR campaign for a Peoria-area business and nonprofit as your senior project. The winning team receives a cash prize. You also have the opportunity to intern at the annual Chicago Auto Show and participate in campus organizations such as the Bradley’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter and the nation’s most-decorated speech team.

Successful Outcomes

Bradley’s public relations program successfully prepares you to enter the workforce or attend graduate school. In recent years, almost all PR students found jobs within six months of graduation. They’re working at places such as the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Fleishman-Hillard, Starcom Mediavest Group and Susan G. Komen Foundation. Others are attending graduate school at Ball State University, Northwestern University and the University of Illinois.
