  ENG 302- Travel Writing (W2)

  Dr. Thomas Palakeel

Travel Writing will be held in the Himalayan city of Dharamshala, India; the Tibetan exile community has been flourishing here ever since 1959 when China invaded Tibet and the 14th Dalai Lama sought refuge in India. Tibet is about four times the size of Texas, located on the highest region of the Earth, mostly 14,000 feet; we won’t be in Tibet or China, but close by at a beautiful hill station in the state of Himachal Pradesh. By taking this BCC W2 Travel Writing course, you will have the opportunity to travel to a celebrated city, where you can immerse yourself in the unique Tibetan Buddhist culture and perfect your writing skills. Students live and attend classes at Sarah College.

Prerequisites: ENG 101 or CIV 111-112 and junior standing.
