Biography

My professional life has truly been a journey, complete with a lot of twists and turns, but I wouldn't have had it any other way! After graduating from Marquette with my undergraduate degree, I wanted to try something completely different from life in Milwaukee, so I relocated to Nevada to pursue my Masters in Higher Education Administration. Living in Las Vegas was nothing like the movies, but it taught me to appreciate life out west - the desert, dry heat and seeing mountains everyday! From Vegas, I moved back to the Midwest and worked as an International Student Advisor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Chicago was everything that I wanted it to be - access to everything just a train ride away, good food, great entertainment, so many sports teams, and the lake! Then I took a little bit of a detour and worked at a Higher Education Software company as a Project Manager working with colleges and universities across the country. When opportunity struck, I got to go back home and recruit for my alma mater and spend time with family and friends in Milwaukee before finally (!) landing at Bradley. During my professional career, it took me four jobs, four cities and three states to find my home here in Peoria. Throughout it all I was constantly adding to my toolbox of resources built to help students, staff and supporters navigate higher education. I couldn't be more excited for the opportunity to be working with students in the College of Education & Health Sciences!

When I'm not busy studying and pursuing my Doctorate in Education (Ed.D) degree, you can find me outside - a quick run through the park, a hike in a state or national park, canoeing or kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing. Also, depending on the season, you can find me at a sporting event - a Peoria Chiefs baseball game, a Peoria City soccer match, or a Bradley Braves basketball game, not to mention all the teams I support from afar! I like to stay busy, but remembering to take a break is also important. My two dogs are the best to curl up on the couch with and enjoy a good book, watch a movie or binge a TV show.
