Credential Description

This non-credit certification introduces learners to computer programming using the Python language. Topics will include simple Python structures, data types, variables, math expressions, conditional expressions, and loops. Upon completion of this certificate course, learners will be able to write and run simple Python language programs in preparation for new career opportunities.

Important: You may be eligible to take this program at NO COST through the IT Workforce Accelerator project. A laptop loan program is also available to those who are eligible to enroll in courses.

Dr. Sherif Abdelfattah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Bradley University. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Tennessee Technological University, where he also served as an instructor. Dr. Abdelfattah’s research focuses on applying machine learning and cryptography algorithms in areas such as cybersecurity, smart healthcare systems, smart grids, and ridesharing. He has authored numerous papers in major IEEE conferences and journals.
