Dr. Yang has her research interests in second language acquisition and teacher education. She is particularly interested in using technology in language learning. Her recent research focus in teacher education has been how teachers can make the best practices and how teachers’ professional development can have great impact on their teaching and relationships with students. Her research is grounded in mixed-method approaches. She has been participating in research projects that contribute to inclusive education to better accommodate students with various characters and backgrounds.
Dr. Yang has been actively participating in different professional organizations such as American Educational Research Association (AERA), Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium (CALICO).
Licensures and Certifications
Dr. Yang teaches courses related to pedagogies and methodologies of teaching English as a Second Language learners, assessment, diversity in society, and human language development.
