We have more than 10 reasons why we love the Hollywood Semester, but here's our top 10!
That's right. You get to live in Hollywood, California for an entire semester. It's always sunny and 75!
Meet Pablo (pictured above), he's a senior, Sports Communication major who interned for the Los Angeles Dodgers last fall. Pablo's amazing internship is one of thousands available in Hollywood! To give you a better idea, here's some more examples of past students internship locations: Dreamworks, The Ellen Show, Warner Brothers, SAG, F84, and HBO!
The final project for the Hollywood Semester is to create a music video. This project gives students perspective on what it's like to make a short production. Did we mention it's paid for by Bradley? And, ACTION!
Pictured above is Jacob Huberman (left), the Director of the Hollywood Semester program and Bryce Schwerbrock (right), a Fall of 2016 participant. Jake is showing Bryce how to use a professional lighting kit on set for the group's music video. All of Bradley's Hollywood professors have experience not only inside the classroom, but also working outside the learning environment in the entertainment industry. They constantly bring in speakers to class and set up networking field trips with alumnae. The learning opportunities are endless!
Yes, we mean all of them!
The Oakwood Apartments (where Hollywood Semester students live) are fully furnished and have two pools and two hot tubs. They are located right next to the classrooms as well. Spend your class breaks with some poolside fun!
Students participating in Bradley's Hollywood Semester get multiple opportunities to work the red carpet. These opportunities can come from your internship or Bradley's connections. Last fall, Katie Sainz, a current Bradley Senior, completed a Public Relations internship for Dreamworks. She got to work the red carpet premiere for their newest animation film "Trolls". She even got to meet Justin Timberlake!
The Hollywood Semester student apartments are located a short 30-45 minute drive to Santa Monica and Venice Beach!
Living in a new place helps individuals gain self-confidence and more independence. After asking previous Hollywood Semester attendees about their experiences, most people mentioned growing in to more independent, professional working individuals. This was all thanks to the Hollywood Semester program!
The Bradley Hollywood Semester is a life changing program. It is offered each semester and will be open this year in the summer!
