Avi Melamed, the Eisenhower Institute Overseas Middle East Expert, a former Israeli Senior Official on Arab Affairs, and former educator, will give a presentation on Monday, February 24, 2014, on campus on “The Middle East 2014: Winds of Change and Quick Sand.”
The free presentation will begin at 7 p.m. in the Horowitz Auditorium in the Caterpillar Global Communication Center.
Melamed, an Independent Middle East Strategic Intelligence Analyst specializing in the current affairs of the Arab and Muslim world and their impact on Israel and the region, will discuss how the decades of unrest in the Arab world have finally erupted in what he terms “the Arab awakening.” The presentation is co-sponsored by Bradley Hillel and the Jewish Federation of Peoria.
