Sky's the Limit

Often the best views are from high above, as is evident in the aerial photos and videos captured by senior communications major Christopher LeCrone. What started as a hobby in high school has turned into a successful business LeCrone manages around his academic schedule.

“I have always enjoyed capturing moments and settings, and my photography hobby led me to working with drones,” he said. He purchased his first drone in 2021 and became a certified FAA remote pilot.

His clients range from local real estate agents and business owners to event planners and media companies. When he’s not working for clients, he’s out honing his craft and trying new things. LeCrone’s striking drone footage of the Peoria area has even garnered attention from local media.

“I enjoy highlighting the beauty and vibrancy of this area. Through my aerial photography and videography, I aim to showcase the unique landscapes, architecture and events that make Peoria and Bradley special,” LeCrone explained. “It’s my way of contributing to the community and promoting the region to a wider audience.”

Marketing and management leadership courses at Bradley have contributed to his business acumen, helping him understand demographics and market changes around demand. “These courses were instrumental in helping me form a stronger business model, communicate effectively and close mutually beneficial deals.”

LeCrone acknowledges those who have supported and encouraged him along the way. “My business would not be at the level it is today without the great people and businesses who have played a role in my journey. I'm excited about the future and look forward to continuing to grow and contribute to this amazing community.”

With his passion for capturing unique perspectives, LeCrone is set to elevate his business to new heights.
