Bradley Will Soon Break Ground on Dining Hall Improvements
Bradley University will soon begin a significant renovation and expansion project for Williams Dining Hall, made possible by a generous capital grant from the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE). This initiative will enhance the dining experience for students, faculty, and staff, offering a modernized space with increased seating capacity and upgraded facilities.
Construction is scheduled to start in early October. During the renovation Williams Dining Hall will be temporarily closed. The university will ensure students continue to have access to dining services; Geisert Dining Hall will remain open during the construction period, and additional food options will be introduced across campus to provide more variety and convenience.
This project will include renovating the existing kitchen and dining space as well as new construction. The expanded dining space will provide significant additional seating capacity and will be fully ADA accessible, while providing a beautiful view of the campus.
The renovated and expanded space will cater to the health and well-being of the students by allowing for allergen-specific preparation space, larger salad bars, front-of-house food preparation, and increased sustainability through environmentally healthy features.
“We are excited about the transformation of Williams Dining Hall and the positive impact it will have on our campus,” said Jonathan Michael, Interim President of Bradley University. “This endeavor is a great example of our commitment to providing top-notch facilities, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the generous capital grant from the Illinois Board of Higher Education. We are deeply grateful for their support and investment in the future of Bradley University.”
The renovation is expected to be completed in fall 2025.
