What We Do
The Facilities Management Department maintains and cares for approximately 50 buildings, comprising over 2.5 million sq ft of space, including 1,238 dorm rooms and apartments, and over 90 acres of outdoor space.
Who We Are
Building Maintenance
Maintenance performs building repairs and general maintenance including painting, carpentry and repairs.
Custodial
Custodial Services provide a clean and safe environment. They also handle recycling, mail distribution, pest control and receiving.
General Services
General Services handle the main switchboard for the University and dispatch and it’s staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Contact them for information about keys, borrowing vehicles and parking enforcement.
Grounds Department
The Grounds Department maintains green spaces and hard surfaces, landscaping, tree care, snow removal and upkeeping streets and parking lots.
Planning Department
Planning ensures the design and building construction meet Bradley University’s standards. This includes new construction projects, renovation and campus furniture replacement.
Utilities
Utilities provides operation and maintenance of all plumbing, electrical, mechanical, heating and cooling systems on campus. This includes the primary infrastructure of power, water, steam and chilled water distribution as well as building systems and appliances. The Utilities Operations and Maintenance staff are licensed Plumbers and Electricians along with Maintenance and Operating Engineers that are on duty 24/7/365.
Sustainability and conservation of resources are a very important function of the Utilities section. All of us can help reduce the overall environmental and financial impact by using energy responsibly

Environmental Health & Safety ensures a safe work/instructional environment for the Bradley campus. They can help you find items with recalls/notices and check chemical safety data sheets. They work closely with Bradley University Police Department.
