National Eating Disorders Association Walk

April 5, 2019

The 4th annual Peoria National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) Walk, sponsored by The Body Project, will take place tomorrow on Bradley's Alumni Quad. Participants can register online or at the walk on the day of the event. There's no registration fee; participants are asked to donate what they can or ask friends and family to sponsor.

At 9:30 a.m., a short ceremony will take place. Roughly 20 minutes later, the walk will begin.

According to nedawalk.org, "NEDA Walks are inspirational, community-building events where passionate walkers raise money to fund eating disorders education, prevention, and support, as well as advocacy and research initiatives." Additionally, "NEDA Walks create a safe and supportive space where no one will feel alone in their battle. Everybody knows somebody who’s been affected by an eating disorder - so everybody is invited to walk with us!"
