McDowell Receives Innovation Award

Congratulations to Dr. Bill McDowell for receiving the 2019 Showcase Award at the Small Business Institute (SBI) annual conference.  This award identifies an SBI Program and its Director who is deserving of recognition for innovative development or management, or because their SBI efforts contributed to a true small business client success story.

Dr. McDowell serves as Professor of Entrepreneurship, Turner Chair of Entrepreneurship, and the Executive and Academic Director of the Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

He is also Special Assistant to the Provost for Convergence Efforts. At Bradley, convergence learning is an innovative, creative, and collaborative approach to learning.  It is a learning style that reaches across disciplines.  It pairs students and faculty from different disciplines, it encourages our students to partner with businesses on problem-solving projects, and it pairs organizations outside of campus with those inside of campus.
