To celebrate the collective impact and success of Small Business Development Centers around the country, America’s SBDCs are hosting their third annual SBDC Day. The Illinois SBDC at Bradley is offering a workshop, Starting a Business in Illinois. The ISBDC at the Turner Center for Entrepreneurship at Bradley University has provided business counseling and support to entrepreneurs and existing businesses in Central Illinois since 1985. They have accomplished this by providing businesses with the resources needed to solve business-related problems and take advantage of new opportunities. Since 2001, they've assisted over 613 companies to obtain loans and invest equity in excess of $206 million to start or expand their business, which has created over 1500 jobs and retained more than 18,000. Their mission is to provide free business counseling and low-cost training programs for existing and startup businesses in Central Illinois.
