Olive B. White Scholarship
The Olive B. White Scholarship was founded in November 1963 by the Bradley University Student Senate in honor of the past Dean of Women and head of the English Department, Olive B. White. The Student Center Board became a cosponsor of the scholarship in the spring of 1964. The principal of the endowed fund was created by the Student Senate, Student Center Board and Lecture Arts Committee.
The Olive B. White scholarship was awarded for the first time during the spring semester 1964-65. Thereafter, the award was announced each year at the beginning of the fall semester and bestowed at the Student Leadership Recognition Reception held each spring.
This scholarship is restricted to tuition. A student whose other financial assistance or scholarships meets or exceeds tuition costs is not eligible for additional scholarship dollars (i.e. tuition remission).
Criteria: This award recognizes rising seniors for their extracurricular and co-curricular activities while maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
