About
Your brain. It’s the most complicated part of the human body. It initiates movement, controls all your body functions and interprets the words you’re reading right now. Over the last decade, advances in research and technology have helped scientists learn more about the brain than ever before, but so much about this complex organ remains a mystery.
Established in 2009, the Center for Collaborative Brain Research (CCBR) promotes and supports collaborative, cutting-edge brain research between institutions in Peoria, Ill. Researchers work with colleagues from other organizations who have similar interests but different specialties. With increased synergy among experts, the CCBR provides a more effective environment to improve brain-related academic research and elevate clinical diagnosis and treatment.
