For graduate students in Computer Science (CS) or Data Science and Analytics-Computational Data Science concentration (DSA-CD). Computer Science or Data Science research and thesis preparation. Required of candidates choosing the thesis option. Total of 6 semester hrs. to be taken in one or two semesters. Any semester after the six hours, the student must register for zero hours to maintain progress, after the thesis advisor's and department chair's approval. Prerequisite: Consent of department chair

Bradley’s computer information systems-data science program prepares you to solve problems in almost any profession with the latest analytical tools.
The concentration gives you specialized knowledge in data mining, big data and artificial intelligence. You learn how to collect and understand data and its properties, then you explore tools to analyze information and visualize solutions. Data science can be used to analyze business sales, make sense of social media trends or enhance patient care in hospitals. Beyond this, data science solves problems in education, engineering and other fields. The CIS concentration features more application, information technology and business courses than the closely related computer science program. In addition you can choose an undergraduate concentration in game technology, mobile computing or software, web and computer security.
Bradley’s computer information systems program successfully prepares you to enter the workforce, as almost all recent graduates found employment within six months of graduation. Your training will be in demand, as a recent IBM forecast shows data analysts are needed in business, manufacturing, consulting firms and the financial industry.
