The Bradley Advantage

Bradley’s sociology program helps you find ways to address social problems such as crime, poverty, racism, violence against women and children, and sexism. Courses allow you to explore global perspectives, inequality and justice or health and social services. You have multiple opportunities to conduct research, which will benefit you whether you go into a career or graduate school after you earn your degree. Additionally, you can conduct internships through the sociology department. You can pair the degree with another major if you desire. Beyond the classroom, you can explore career interests through sociology and social work honor societies and student clubs.

Successful Outcomes

The sociology degree successfully prepares you to enter the workforce or graduate school. In recent years, almost all students found jobs or continued their education within six months of graduation. Recent graduates are working for Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Newark Electronics. Others are attending graduate school at the University of Illinois and Western Illinois University.
