Bradley University is proud to offer digital badges - a new way for our learners to communicate their accomplishments, demonstrate their credentials, and highlight their skills. Bradley University issues badges to individuals and professionals participating in non-credit learning activities offered by Continuing Education and Professional Development, the Center for Professional Excellence, and the Turner Center for Entrepreneurship. Digital badges ensure you can share the impact of your Bradley experience!
A digital badge is a visual representation of an accomplishment, skill, achievement, or other experience you can display online. Digital badges differ from traditional paper credentials in that you can take your achievements with you, wherever you go. A digital badge is a web-enabled acknowledgement of those activities, and are much more powerful than paper certificates because they can be easily shared and contain rich metadata. This metadata includes basic information such as who issued the badge, name of the earner, date issued and if appropriate the expiration date. Digital badges also identify the skills Bradley University verifies the earner has learned, or the requirements needed to be completed to earn that badge.
Badges are unique to you and are easily shared online across your social media platforms. With badges, you can build your digital profile and tell your professional story. Badges will transform your digital presence, and help you easily communicate and promote newly acquired skills and accomplishments to potential employers. This makes it easier for employers to understand these skills, and know they have been verified by Bradley University. And because the badges are easily shared in professional networking platforms such as LinkedIn, it helps learners tell their stories of their accomplishments.
Once you have successfully completed your program at Bradley University, you will receive an email notification with instructions for claiming and sharing your badge. Find out more by contacting one of our badge issuers:
